On Healing Legacy
and the Work of Co-Liberation with Skeena Rathor
In this film Skeena meditates on the legacies of harm that humanity has endured.
NB: The photograph that accompanies this practice is known as the Nike of Samothrace, or Winged Victory. She was plundered from the Aegean island of Samothraki by the French, where she now lives in the Louvre, after having been beheaded by the Romans. Astoundingly beautiful as she yet is, she seems a relevant symbol of this practice, which is about reclaiming the parts of ourselves that have been incarcerated or damaged by the legacies of violence and harm that we, as a human family, have perpetuated and inherited.
