In this course, created for a general audience seeking to deepen the practice of mindful awareness, access to the present moment, stabilization of attention, and depth of embodied presence, we introduce you to a comprehensive applied mindfulness approach to Heartfulness. In this course, you will learn from connection phenomenologist Gabriel Kram, Master Tracker John Stokes, Master Mindfulness and Diversity Trainer Lee Mun Wah, and Indigenous Elder Ilarion Merculieff.
In this course, you will learn:
- Why we propose that the modern mindfulness movement is mis-named, and what is means to focus on mindful awareness that is embodied, felt, and relational
- Why the present moment is always the gateway to embodied awareness, and why our indigenous mentors conceptualize intelligence as something that begins ‘the moment thinking stops’
- How we can feel more deeply by opening and cleaning the heart
- The importance of gratitude and vulnerability, with our mentor John Stokes, Founder of the Tracking Project
- A broad selection of practices for deepening awareness, working with emotions, and connecting with our own hearts
- Practices of mindfulness in nature
- The Emotional Yoga Practice we developed with our mentor Gurucharn Singh Khalsa
- The practice of Relational Mindfulness with our mentor Master Mindfulness and Diversity trainer Lee Mun Wah
- A conversation about applied mindfulness with our mentor Mindfulness Teacher Fleet Maull
- A conversation about heartfulness with our mentor Unangan Elder Ilarion ‘Kuuyux’ Merculieff, President of the Global Center for Indigenous Leadership and Lifeways
