John Stokes is Founder of The Tracking Project, based in Corrales, New Mexico. Originally founded to connect people to nature through tracking and survival skills, they have evolved to offer a diversity of programs that promote arts, culture, sustainability and indigenous cultures. Trained by Indigenous mentors from a variety of lineages, for forty-five years he has been bringing people's attention to tracks on the ground, so that they will realize that our Mother Earth is alive. He is Chair of Nature and Culture at the Restorative Practices Alliance, and serves on the Global Council of Governance.
