Hearth Science Inquiry: What heals?

This is a LIVE FACE-TO-FACE training that will be held in Northern California at our eco-reserve near Nicasio, California. The location is about 20 minutes from San Rafael, California. The training is capped at twelve participants, plus the instructor. We will assemble at 8:30 at a meet-up location in Terra Linda, California, and from there carpool to the location.

What heals and what are we healing?

We talk broadly about the healing arts, and about being healers, but there is a profound question here about what is being healed, and what is doing the healing. One way of approaching this is through the notion of establishing a context for healing that is deep enough to activate the innate self-organizing of our psycho-biology.

If we, as healers, don’t DO the healing, what is doing the healing? And what, shall we ask, is being healed? And what does it mean to activate innate self-organization in a time of collapse, when there are so many structural forces working to exert distributed fascist control of our time, attention, psyches, and bodies? How can we reclaim the imperatives of rest required for self-organization amidst the ever-consuming onslaught of the modern?

How do we create the conditions for the healing impulse to emerge, and then how do we track healing moving through the body, mind, and spirit, if the nervous system is - in actuality - the altar of the spirit?

This training is a proposed inquiry into the potential subject matter of a larger community of practice for wellness professionals. We are testing it out in short form through this training.
