Befriend a Tree

You look a bit green, my friend.

Humans have probably been relating with trees for as long as we've been humans. Ancestrally, in deep time, we lived in them. Since then, they've been producing our food, our shelter. Wood, it is said, is the most human of materials. So deeply like us, are trees, that many of our metaphors are woven through with images of them. We talk about deepening our roots, reaching for the sky, of our limbs providing shelter. There is something deeply primal about our relationship with trees. In this practice, we'll invite you to befriend a tree. Let's try.
