Gratitude Journal
An end-of-day ritual.
This practice is particularly useful for those of us whose minds tilt a bit more negative when we are tired. You can do this formally with a journal, or informally just by bringing your attention to this at the end of the day. The practice is simple: review your day with a focus on the things that happened this day that you are grateful for. What are you thankful for? Whom are you thankful for? What moments? What experiences? Practicing placing our attention here at the end of the day makes the best use of memory consolidation of the positive, setting a frame on how you recall the day.
