Welcome to Applied Mindfulness Foundations Course!
In this course, created for a general audience seeking to deepen the practice of mindful awareness, access to the present moment, stabilization of attention, and depth of embodied presence, we introduce you to a comprehensive applied mindfulness approach to Heartfulness. You will be learning with connection phenomenologist Gabriel Kram, Master Tracker John Stokes, Master Mindfulness and Diversity Trainer Lee Mun Wah, and Indigenous Elder Ilarion Merculieff.
In this course, we will explore:
- Why the mindfulness movement might better be called the Heartfulness movement and what is means to focus on mindful awareness that is embodied, felt, and relational
- Why the present moment is always the gateway to embodied awareness, and why our indigenous mentors conceptualize intelligence as something that begins ‘the moment thinking stops’
- How we can feel more deeply by opening and cleaning the heart
- The importance of gratitude and vulnerability
- The practice of Relational Mindfulness with our mentor Master Mindfulness and Diversity trainer Lee Mun Wah
- A conversation about applied mindfulness with our mentor Mindfulness Teacher Fleet Maull
- A conversation about heartfulness with our mentor Unangan Elder Ilarion ‘Kuuyux’ Merculieff
- A broad selection of practices for deepening awareness, working with emotions, and connecting with our own hearts
- Practices of mindfulness in nature
