Flower Essences
Healing by flower.
I have been healed by flowers, which sounds strange when I say it, yet is true. There is both an art and a science to flower essences, and it has been developed by a number of healers on several continents, with the flowers available on each. (There are complete flower essence lines in Australia, Brasil, and the UK, probably other places as well.)
The Bach Flower Remedies are a complete line of flower essences formulated to restore wellbeing, developed by a doctor in Great Britain in the 1930s. I have personally had extraordinarily positive experiences with them, as well as experiences working with what at other times and in other places might have been called a witch who was versed in assembling customized preparations of flower essences.
They are safe, gentle on the body, and effective. The Bach preparations are designed for particular ailments, or to restore or fortify particular qualities. Water Violet, for example, can help you connect with others. Aspen is indicated for vague unknown fears. Chestnut Bud helps people learn from past mistakes. I confess that I have no idea how these work, no idea how Dr. Bach discerned their different properties at all. Yet work they do. For a complete list of the properties of the Bach essences, go here.
