Florence, and the greater Tuscany region is an exceptional backdrop for a deep-dive into the Autonomics of Creative and Collective Genius. This is an emerging experiment and meta-project themed around the application of autonomics to social and creative flourishing. Using a number of case studies (including the Florentine Renaissance, Black Mountain College, the Chelsea Hotel in NYC in the 1980s, etc.) we are looking at the recipes for emergent collective and creative genius.
-What can our study of autonomics tell us about what is required in terms of safety, trust, connection, competition, and risk to create social systems where there is a collective efflorescence of creative genius?
-What can moments of collective efflorescence teach us about the recipes and pattern language of this kind of flourishing?
