What the Restorative Practices Alliance is all about

This video is a conversation between Natureza Gabriel Kram, Convener of the Restorative Practices Alliance, and Fleet Maull, Mindfulness Teacher and Host of the Global Resilience Summit. We were asked to speak during the summit on the day focused on community healing. In the conversation we speak about language, collectives, the critical importance of anti-racist work, why birds are better physiological trackers than Fitbit, and the importance of Polvyagal Theory.

Related Practices:

This conversation is part of a quartet of conversations that includes our conversation with Ilarion Merculieff, The Unangan Way, our conversation with Dr. Stephen Porges, A Polyvagal Perspective on Resilience, and our conversation with Tiara Maldonaldo, Earl Simms, and Gloria Yamato on Resilience in the Black community. In the video we speak about The Evolved Nest, our film with Dr. Darcia Narvaez, PhD. We also speak about the work of Tiokasin Ghosthorse, of the Cheyenne River Lakota, The Language of Transformation, and Exiting the Language of Domination.

Who taught us this?

This unites strands of indigenous awareness with the Polyvagal Theory, marrying ancient ancestral awareness practices with the cutting-edge of neurophysiology
