Healing from Shock Trauma

The Spiral Architecture of Recovery

In this film we are exploring the mechanics of healing from shock, as opposed to developmental, trauma. When we are working to heal, or to help someone heal from a specific shock trauma, there is a kind of architecture to the experience that is helpful for us to understand so that we can work with it in a way that is not re-traumatizing. In this film we explore the mechanics of shock trauma, and how we counterbalance the gravity of the way traumatic experiences pull attention toward themselves.
