Join Natureza Gabriel for a 3-hour deep-dive into living Autonomics with a focus on autonomic composition.
We are on the threshold of publishing our first white paper on Autonomics: Towards an Accurate In Vivo Reconceptualizing of Autonomic State.
'Autonomic Composition' is a termed we have coined to designate our own individual autonomic presets on both the health creating (salutogenic) and stress (pathogenic) wings. The notion is that, by the time we are adults, most of us have developed a fairly tailored and individual autonomic profile.
When we are experiencing our deepest and most fluid sense of self, entering flow states, this tends to have a particular autonomic signature.
And in parallel, when we are dealing with stress, and moving into defensive states, this too tends to have a particular autonomic signature.
Understanding the nature of this composition, on both the health-creating side, and the stress-response side, gives us handles on our own system, and a more agentic map for how to work with the deepest strata of our own nervous systems, which is the fundamental biological system shaping our moment-to-moment embodied experience of wellbeing.
With clarity about this map, we can lean more into strategies required to spend more of our time in the salutogenic side, and more easily move out of the defensive side.
In this training, we will teach you how to self-diagnose your own autonomic composition, giving you deeper insight into the balances required to support your own thriving and elite performance on the one hand, and your own transformational healing on the other.
You will leave the training with a personalized map of the components of your own autonomic composition, and a sense of pathways to increase autonomic coherence, and recovery of equilibrium.
This training is appropriate for: interested laypeople, athletes, elite performers, coaches, and wellness professionals of all kinds.
I will draw from two texts in this teaching: Autonomic Compass, and The Neurobiology of Connection (digital version here).
