About me:
Kristin grew up amidst a beautiful pacific northwest landscape and considers nature to be one of her greatest guides, as it always leads her back to her own heart. Mom, sister, daughter and friend are the most cherished positions Kristin holds, closely followed by coach, advocate and reflector. Some of Kristin’s personal mantras are “you are the expert on you” and “nothing about us without us.” Kristin has navigated the rocky terrain of trauma and as a result, has become an excellent ally and coach for others who have wounds that have led to overwhelm in their professional and/or personal experiences, past or present. Kristin thrives in untangling chaos and teaching others how to detox from and metabolize (in real time), toxic stress.
Kristin has lived professional experience as a traditional health care worker on outreach teams, in hospital emergency departments, as program manager for multiple mental health programs, as a peer supervisor for doulas, recovery mentors and peer support/wellness specialists, a trainer (specializing in Trauma Competency and Compassion Fatigue/Resilience) and as a hospice volunteer and a domestic violence advocate volunteer.
