A Framework
To Heal or to Grow?

To heal or to grow
Was it Hamlet who said this?
Sometimes we get stuck in thinking that our journey in life is either to heal or to grow. Yet our work with the Restorative Practices Neurodevelopmental model, over the past two decades, has showed us that at the heart of healing is growth, and at the heart of growth is healing. These two motions, one of repair, one of development, seem, in fact, intimately and inextricably intertwined. In this video we explore the dynamic dualism of the relationship between healing and growth, through the lens of wellbeing and the lens of leadership.

In order to effectively discern your directionality (either toward growing or healing), its good to know where you are on the Polyvagal map in the present moment. If you'd like to do this now, use the distress mapping assessment tool. You may also enjoy taking using the Connection Mapping tool if you haven't yet done this. The connection mapping tool is a way to visualize and scaffold your resources on the connection side of this work: a map of your resources for wellbeing; the container in which healing takes place.Photography: | Licensed from Pexels.com, used with permission.
