Taking Charge of Your Own Wellness
Patient-Centered Care with Dr. Tabatha Parker, ND
In this wide ranging conversation with Dr. Tabatha Parker, Executive Director of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, the largest inter-professional holistic health organization in the United States, we explore the future of medicine and wellbeing. Dr. Parker talks with us about what brought her toward a holistic approach to care that centers the experience of the patient, and works cross-disciplinarily around them, as well as obstacles to this in our current medical system. She speaks of the importance of becoming active agents in our own wellbeing, and how our lives change when we take charge of our own wellbeing.

Then take the distress mapping. Once you have a clearer sense of how your nervous system is deviated from safety, for addressing particular nervous system states, see Coming out of Fight, Coming out of Flight, Coming out of Freeze, Calming Anxiety, Releasing Fear.
